So I've had children age "naturally" to age 6 in game time, but their portrait never actually appeared in my town and they could not be interacted with. So: -- Using the console, set their age to 18. The portrait will then appear, but it will be a child's portrait/body. -- To fix this, you'll have to install the Detailed character creator/editor found here
